"Did I hurt you?" he asked, his tone filled with concern.

"Why would you?" Jiang Yue's brows furrowed in confusion.

As he moved her shoulder-length hair away from her neck, revealing that the wound was already healed and what was only left was a faint scar, Luo Zhelan let out a sigh of relief.

Finally understanding his question, she reassured him, "I told you, it's already healed."

Luo Zhelan nodded, and Jiang Yue anticipated that he would rise immediately. Instead, he unexpectedly lowered his head, and before she realized it, she felt his warm lips lightly kiss the scar on the side of her neck.

Looking up, he met her gaze and said, "Next time, when you can't treat your wounds on your own, let me, okay?"

Jiang Yue nodded, then averted her gaze, feeling as though she might melt under his intense stare.
