In Bucharest, more precisely at the Dacian Imperial Palace, we can see our protagonist in Cezar's office talking to his family, both of them talking seriously about a very important matter: Tanya Degurechaff.
"Son, you have to understand that what you did was risky, who can guarantee that this girl is not a spy for the Empire trying to destabilize the Nation or the Imperial Family? It is dangerous to have her here, even though I am grateful that she saved you and protected you, we still have to be rational!" Dmitrievna said seriously as she looked at Ferdinand, who sat calmly in his chair.
"I have to agree with your mother, Ferdinand, what you did was quite reckless, you don't normally do such things" Johan said as he sided with his wife on this matter, but Frederick did not think the same way.
"Johan, Dmitrievna, while I understand your concern, remember, Ferdinand never does anything if it doesn't agree with some plan of his, the boy has always been rational, so stop talking to the boy as if he had blown up an entire village by accident or something like that" Frederick said seriously as he looked at his daughter-in-law and son, before looking at Ferdinand.
"Tell me, Ferdinand, do you trust this little girl enough that she won't stab you in the back?" Frederick asked as he looked at his grandson, who nodded.
"Yes, Grandfather, Tanya is quite trustworthy, I can guarantee that she won't betray us, as I have certain advantages over her that prevent her from trying anything, besides that she has a lot of potentials, both as an Officer and as a Mage, have her do a Magical Aptitude Test and you will see her power" Ferdinand said calmly to his grandfather, while also looking at his mother and father.
Frederick was silent for a while, thinking before looking at Dmitrievna and Johan, with him nodding his head and Dmitrievna sighing.
"Alright, whatever, but we'll still keep an eye on that little girl, Ferdinand," Dmitrievna said seriously as she looked at her son, who nodded, agreeing to his mother's demand.
"Well, leaving this matter involving the little girl Tanya aside, we have another matter to discuss with you, son... the Russy Exile Factions are in the Imperium, they decided to move here and support us when we start the war against the Russy Federation," Johan said as he handed Ferdinand some papers that had some photos and information about some people.
"Because of this, your uncle decided to give you a certain... 'gift', giving you trustworthy people to be part of your Personal Guard, and they will also be your advisors" Johan said while Ferdinand read carefully, until he saw a photo and the name on the paper, with his eyes widening.
'Viktoriya Ivanovna Serebryakov?!' Ferdinand thought in surprise, not expecting that Tanya's Hound would now be working for him.
'Wait, that's good, that means I now have two important assets for the Imperium, hehe, with that the Russian Federation will be doomed,' Ferdinand thought while in his mind he laughed maliciously, knowing that the future of the Communists was completely sealed.
Tanya was a great military leader and an incredible Mage, no doubt, but Viktoriya was also important because, without our Military Loli's Hound, Tanya could have died several times, like during the time Tanya faced Anson Sue, and could have been blown up along with him.
"So, Ferdinand? Do you have a problem with such people being with you?" Dmitrievna asks as she looks at her son's reaction, which is one of surprise, and she finds it normal because not even she expected Nikolay to give Ferdinand such a gift.
"No, Mother, I have no problem; in fact, I'm happy about it; the more people to protect me, the better," Ferdinand quickly answers his mother, with him even showing a smile on his face.
Dmitrievna then nods upon hearing her son's answer, and with that, Ferdinand is dismissed from Johan's office, leaving Dmitrievna, Johan, and Frederick alone in the office.
"I'm worried, father-in-law, husband," Dmitrievna said sincerely as she walked over to the chair Ferdinand was sitting in before and sat down.
"Why, my dear wife?" Johan asked with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm afraid Ferdinand might be falling in love with this little Imperial girl," Dmitrievna said seriously, taking Frederick and Johan by surprise.
Ferdinand Pov
I walked through the corridors, while some servants of the Imperial Palace bowed to me, with my goal being to go to Tanya's room and talk to her about the good news...as well as the distrust my mother still has about her, so she could be prepared.
When I arrived at the room they told me she would be in, I saw that there were two Imperial Guards at the door, but they quickly greeted me before knocking on the door for me. I heard Tanya's voice saying "Come in", and then one of the Guards opened the door for me, and I heard the door closing behind me.
I saw Tanya lying on her bed. I could see that the maids were quick to pack up all her things. She then looked at me, wanting to know if the news was good or bad.
"You can calm down, you can stay at the Imperium... but my mother is very suspicious of you, so you can expect the Secret Service or even some Russys to secretly keep an eye on you." I said as I grabbed a chair and sat down, with the chair close to Tanya's bed.
"It was to be expected. Your mother will probably have hundreds of people watching me, but it's okay; at least I'll be able to live at the Imperium... anything else?" Tanya asks me as she sits on the bed, looking a little tired.
"Yes, you will take a Magical Aptitude Test to see your magical level" I answer her as I snuggle into the chair as much as I can.
"Hmmm, I see... about my position as Centurion?" Tanya asked me seriously, I saw that she wanted to see if her position would be guaranteed in the future.
"I will make sure you get the position, I promised you, so I will fulfill my part of the deal" I say with a calm smile on my face, showing her that everything was and would be fine.
She sighs in obvious relief and then lowers her head, staying silent; seeing that she is in serious thoughts, I get up from the chair, go to the door, touch the handle to open the door, and leave.
"Ferdinand....thank you....for helping me." I heard Tanya's voice faintly, but I could hear it perfectly; I stopped my movements for a moment, processing what Tanya had said, with me even looking at her.
But then, a smile appeared on my face again as I looked at her.
"No problem" I said before opening the door and closing it behind me, leaving Tanya alone to have her time, with me walking through the halls again.
