Yet the truth of the matter was that the martial arts gathering gathered the best of the best from all villages in the core mountains of the Qilin mountain range. Someone like her who was only one of the best in one of the weaker villages could hardly compare with those monstrous geniuses from the strongest villages.

Chen Mei sighed. The path of cultivation was not for the faint-hearted. There would always be those with greater talent, luck, or even perseverance. There was no way to just overcome those more gifted than you. All one could do was firm their mind and stick to one's cultivation. Only then could they achieve greater heights.
