During the siege, the city was systematically dismantled to serve military purposes, with buildings requisitioned for supplies and fortified defense. However, the determined workers were now painstakingly rebuilding the city, utilizing the sturdy timber and durable stone procured from the surrounding woods and skilled masons. Despite their valiant efforts, the city still bore the visible scars of the battle, and it may be some time yet before it can be restored to its former grandeur.
