บท 107: Bloody affair(2)

The constant pulling of the bowstring caused Naasar's muscles to scream in agony, and pain shot throughout his body as fatigue set in all over him. For the previous 15 minutes, the young Muslim archer had been firing his bow, dispatching many of the advancing French warriors with lethal precision. Under a hail of arrows from the defenders, the French army continued its relentless advance, all aiming to breach the defense and eventually get past  the gates. The young archer aimed once more at another foe on the battlefield, keeping in mind that the outcome of the fight was still in doubt.

As he released the arrow which met the throat of one soldier stupid enough to lower his shield to look ahead, Naasir's arm dropped briefly before he swiftly reached for another arrow from his quiver. The intensity of the battle fueled his determination, knowing that every accurate shot could make a difference in turning the tides of the fight.
