Skai blinked, the searing pain raking through her whole body as she tried to make out where she was in the dimly lit room. 

"Where… what happened?" 

Her eyes swept through her surroundings, recognising her room soonest and the…

'Floor?!" 

She facepalmed, the beads of sweat on her forehead a clear reminder of what this was — a dream.

Hurried footsteps made Skai snap her head up and focus on the door. 'Jard was there, wasn't he?'

No sooner had those thoughts crossed her mind than the footsteps came to an abrupt halt and Jared's feet rushed into her room. 

"Skai."

He checked the room in search of her only to find her on the ground and her nightwear in a revealing state.

"Skai," he called out again and within a blink of an eye, he was already by her side on the ground.
