Elijah knew his appointment as a Valkyrie-in-training would inevitably lead to protests from others. And sure enough. As soon as Elijah walked in wearing his new clothes and identities, someone immediately protested in a displeased tone.

"What is the meaning of this?"

King Ardiaz, who had come with Duke Grantland again, immediately raised a protest as soon as he saw the person who had caused trouble for his kingdom attending the meeting under a new identity. Anyone could see that King Ardiaz held a great grudge against Elijah, even if years had passed since the incident took place. King Ardiaz visibly hardened his jaw in anger, especially when Elijah looked at him calmly without saying anything.

"There was no secret intent in choosing Elijah as a Valkyrie in training, King Ardiaz. We only saw that he deserved the position, so we intend to see if our judgment has not been wrong all this time."
