"Damn it, we should have just taken the carriage!... Phew.... Phew," Nova complained between breaths as he sprinted along the well-trodden path used by the carriages.

"Shut up and keep running, I can't believe you're slower than these brats!" Erza scolded him. She couldn't help but notice that her two junior members were keeping pace despite the clear gap in their levels. In contrast, Nova, a senior, was lagging behind, barely managing to stay with the group.

"I am a mage, not a brute like you guys!" Nova retorted, attempting to justify his slower pace with his magical inclinations.
