Davien? I couldn't believe that! No, that man was already at rock bottom, he couldn't have been behind this. I looked to Renold for answers, but he was just as confused as I was. He had the waiter sent out and tasked him to return only when he had anything important to report.

"Davien? I thought he was hiding somewhere? Why is he back?" I asked in a panic, and if that was the case, then why the hell didn't our informant give us a heads-up about it?

Renold snapped at me, "Why the hell are you asking me?!" He ran his fingers through his hair, frustrated and made some phone calls to some of the other clientele.

Everyone he called had just heard the news and were just as confused over what happened, ultimately, he resolved that he wouldn't learn anything by just sitting around and spectating.
