After forcing myself to talk to the officers and explaining the entire situation, they finally let me go after hearing a word of affirmation from Kian that it really was a misunderstanding. By the time they left, it was already mid-afternoon, and I wasn't certain if Kian had eaten anything.

So, I went out to get him something to eat from some of the stalls. As I navigated through the crowds, I recalled how I used to come to this place often when it newly opened to hang out with Louis, back when we were still close.

But, after the incident with his wife last year, I stopped visiting him as frequently as before, unable to face him. I knew that he loved her more than anything, but I went and…

My thoughts were disrupted by the sense that someone was following me, I stopped in my tracks and tried to locate where they were coming from. But in a crowd with so many people, I was at a disadvantage.
