Eve stared at the book that she placed on top of the table. She had tried everything, even using the orb that she found in the maze, but none of them worked.

No, she could not open the book.

She rested her chin on her palm as she thought about the artifacts she had read about in the past. There are various methods to create a barrier to protect an object, and, to be honest, most of them are very troublesome.

However, this was the first time that she had seen one that did not seem to use magic of any kind.

After a while, she took the book, and it vanished in her palm. Then she took another orb and placed it on the table. It had been about a month since the incident happened, and this would be the first time that she would see Michaela again.

A sigh escaped her lips. Not long after, she vanished along with the orb.
