"Stairs..." Max pulled her into his arms when the ground beneath them suddenly shook and collapsed before forming a stairway that led them down. Unlike earlier, the walls surrounding the stairs were lit with pearls— it was lit with magic!

Eve held Max's hand. "Shall we go down?"

Max nodded, and the two of them slowly made their way up the stairs.

As they descended, a damp and old atmosphere enveloped them, the air feeling heavy and musty. The stairs were still a bit dark, and they couldn't see the end of it.

The dim light from the pearls on the walls cast eerie shadows, revealing the worn and aged stones of the staircase. The air carried a scent of antiquity as if the secrets of the past lingered in the confined space.
