"Are you not even willing to hear my terms?" Eve questioned.

Henrik sighed, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Fine," he conceded. "What is it that you propose?"

Eve's eyes sparkled mischievously as she unveiled her wager.

"Show me your best salve," Eve repeated, a confident smile playing on her lips. "And I will create an even more remarkable one."

Henrik's eyebrows shot up in surprise, his expression a mixture of curiosity and disbelief. "You're saying that you can make something even better than what I have?"

Eve nodded, her gaze was unwavering. "Indeed."

His eyes narrowed, suspicion lacing his gaze. "You speak of such certainties. What are the stakes?"

"If I can create something superior to your best salve, you will assist me with my experiments."

"Experiments? And where do these experiments take place?"
