The act of refilling his Vis pool felt like a meditative ritual, and he found solace in this inner world.

However, the voice of the knight commander, Rachel, intruded upon his mental sanctuary, pulling him back to the reality of the mission at hand.

Despite the sudden interruption, Ervian quickly reconnected with the physical world. The transition from his inner realm to the dimly lit tunnel was jarring, but he regained his focus.

"Ervian, Ervian. We can go now. The pursuit team has defeated the Demonic Spiders." The message was sent via telepathy, a feat accomplished by the Sagacitas rune on Rachel's palm.

"Oh, that was quite faster than I had expected."

Rachel nodded at his reaction. "It is. I was quite surprised, too. The mages' collective effort from different districts is indeed praiseworthy."
