บท 12: First Day
Through the whole week before summer ended he had ended up not doing much besides working out and learning what he could from online videos
His relationship with Elena had seem to get back to normal as she wasn't acting as outright insane as she was before. She seemed to still have disdain for Caroline or whenever he mentioned her but overall she had reverted to mostly her normal self but less depress
Jeremy had spent most of his free time with Caroline hanging out with her which only caused the two to decide to start dating in secret since they weren't sure would it work out but ever since he used the soul linking card giving her Mind Resistance Level One. Caroline didn't seem to differ too much except showing her love towards Jeremy more openly only really hiding it around Elena. They even had many love making sessions from intense oral to actually sex. Jeremy just to be extra safe gifted her a bracelet made with vevain which Caroline happily accepted and she gave him a watch that he now cherishes

His other relationships with people stayed the same besides the fact he would occasionally 'coincidently' meet Anna around the town from the library to the markets and even the cemetery when he went to visit his parents with Elena. He had responded to Katherine's call every night each time getting easier to bear his trauma thanks to Mind Resistance and Caroline being there for him
Jeremy had been woken up by his alarm clock and was actually feeling nervous about his first day back
"School's going to be all fine" he told himself in the mirror trying to comfort himself
It also did help that if he got bullied he was not afraid of using his enchanced strength and bitch slapping assholes in the face
He got ready for school leaving, being picked up by Caroline on her car since he wasn't planning on going with Elena and Bonnie
"So you really ok with going to school?" She asked concerned about him
"Of course I'm alright Care just a bit nervous since I haven't seen any of my classmates in a while"
"Its just sad we're not in the same year Care" Jeremy replied sad that they were going to be separated
"We do share lunch so we could always go and have some fun and some 'fun' " she chuckled
They arrived at their school and bid farewell going to their perspective classes as the bell rang
Jeremy by the first period was already annoyed that many of his classmates came up to him one by one asking about how he was like he was some sort of charity case
"I'm doing well" was what he said atleast 50 times before Mr. Tanner entered the classroom
"I hope you all had a great summer oh sorry that was insensitive of me. I hope Most of you had a great summer"
Jeremy remembered how much of a asshole he was in the show and in his memories that he didn't mind if he died
"We have a new student coming in for this semester everyone be nice to her"
A girl who Jeremy was all too familiar with walked into the class
"Hi my name's Anna nice to meet you all" she spoke in a cherry tone with a massive smile on her face
"I lived in the countryside with my grandmother and I recently moved here"
"Ok Ms. Zhu go take a seat" he said before starting class
"Can I sit here" Anna compelled a person who sat right next to Jeremy to have his seat
"Hii Jeremy what a coincidence meeting you here"
"Why are you stalking me?" he whispered to her
"I never went to school before since I was always homeschooled before" she whispered back
"Do you two have suffering to tell the class"
"Nope sir" they both replied
Just like that the class seemed to fly by quickly as Tanner talked about the history if Mystic Falls
Jeremy continued to go to his other classes until it was finally lunch where he met up with Caroline briefly before she had to go do work for the cheerleading squad
"What are you doing all alone" Jeremy heard a voice from behind
Jeremy ate lunch by himself since he never really felt a connection and he wasn't approached by others besides occasionally being asked for his phone number
"Anna what do you want"
"Nothing I was want to hang out with a familiar person why are you being so careful around me" she asked since Jeremy always seemed to be in the defensive around her
"Maybe its because your always stalking me" he said leaving the table he was eating lunch at
"I just want to be your friend that's all" she followed him
"But why" he stopped walking and menacingly looked at her
"Ehh because your hot" she replied after a moment of hesitation
"Thanks I guess but I'm already taken" he was shocked that was the best excuse she could come up with
Jeremy spotted his sister leave school during break to probably go visit their parents
"I just want to be friends with you, its not like you have any as well" she continued to follow him around despite his attempts at running and hiding he was no match for the 500 year old vampire
The school ended mostly uneventfully besides him being bothered by Anna all day in all of his classes but he did eventually relent becoming her friend
"Hi Jer want to go back to the bonfire with me?" Caroline approached Jeremy while he was having a heated discussion with Anna
"Sure Care, see you at the party later Anna" he left with Caroline in her car
"I missed you Jer, Elena had just been ignoring me and Bonnie is on her side. It's just been so boring without you Jer and don't even get me starting on all the work I have to do as the captain of the cheerleading squad" Caroline complained to Jeremy only getting started
"Care, everything will be fine since your such an amazing woman and Elena will get over it" he complimented her making her blush
"If its alright with you can we just me more open about us since Elena already hates me I atleast want others to know that your taken" Caroline asked
Despite having better self esteem due to Jeremy's constant praises and acknowledgements she still felt insecure that others might steal her man
"Well if thats what you want then we can show it during the bonfire tonight" he said not really bothered about keeping it a secret
"I heard there was a new transfer student in your year" Jeremy asked Caroline and wanted to make sure the timeline was being followed
"Yeah I think his name was Stefan and he seemed to have this magic connection with Elena when they met" She responded with not much interest in Stefan
"But Jer a little birdie told me that there was a really gorgeous girl that came into your year and that she was practically following you around everywhere. Now what's that about hmmm" she questioned him about Anna, very suspicious at what was happening between them
"Its nothing she was just new intown and wanted me to help her around school that's all I swear. Your the only one I love" Jeremy pleaded his innocence to Caroline while being as dramatic as possible like he was in a theatre
After Caroline had finally accepted his plead for innocence they left the car arriving at the location of the party
The two of them walked into the party which had started
Jeremy was quickly intercepted by Anna who was seen ignoring everyone and only went to talk to Jeremy when he arrived
"How did you get here so fast?" Jeremy acted shocked at how fast she arrived
"I took a shortcut" Anna replied with an excuse prepared already
"So is the person that you're dating" she whispered pointing at Caroline who was close enough to hear her
"Yeah she Anna and her names Caroline"
"Jer can you grab me a drink" Caroline requested but was more of a demand
"Yeah me too" Anna said
When Jeremy left to get the two some alcohol the two girls had a small stare down
"His mine so back away I see what your trying to do you man stealing slut" Caroline who seen the way Anna looked at Jeremy told her to back off
"Why don't you make me" Anna retorted
Anna's eyes contracted as she stared into Caroline's eyes
"You will leave the party and not speak to Jeremy anymore" she used compulsion
"No I won't, listen here Anna. Jeremy Gilbert is mine so you better stay away" Caroline hissed
Jeremy had returned with two plastic cups of alcohol
