บท 23: In the shadow of grace

"How exactly did I fall for you? I mean, no offense but...I can't exactly say you're my type."

"...*scoffs* Firstly, ouch...and I thought you remembered everything."

"No...I only have the piece I chose, everything else is still missing," She smiles, "I don't even remember my own mother's name."

"Really? Wow, Eve is evil."

Grey and Emberle stayed up all night talking tirelessly in the dark room. They sat against a wall, a distance from the moonlight that shone in magical blue rays through the window.

She sat between his legs, with her head resting peacefully on his chest. His arms gently hugged her neck, while his head rested on her shoulder. "It doesn't make any sense," she said, "I don't know anything about you yet for some reason, I feel crazy when we're apart, like-"

"-like life has absolutely no meaning," He smiles,

"...Yeah,"

"Even though I'm not your type?"
