When Louis pushed open the door, he saw Alicia next to the window, quiet like a sleeping tree, even her hair not moving. Without seeing her face, he could feel her sadness.

People who have been together for a long time can sense each other's feelings.

Louis walked up behind her, putting his hand on her thin waist, asking, "What's up?"

Alicia looked at him, trying to smile, even though her face was pale. "Chuck left, he wasn't fully healed yet," she said. Her voice didn't sound worried, but every word was filled with worry.

Louis studied her pale face. "Do you think I made him leave?"

"No, if you wanted him gone, you wouldn't have sent help for him."

Louis, with his good-looking and cool face, said, "Sandra said she would tell everyone about the fire and drunk event from before, trying to make us let you go. Chuck didn't want you caught up in it, so he left early."
