บท 126: Hard Goodbyes

Henry complained, "Alicia just doesn't know her place now, and it's your fault. If you didn't spoil her so much, she wouldn't have the guts to ask me for a hundred million."

The more he thought about it, the more he wished he hadn't agreed so quickly. A hundred million was a lot of money; he should've tried to talk her down.

Louis answered casually, "Grandpa, grandma, mom, Lily—even Madelyn's grandpa—all love Alicia. You're the only one who doesn't. Maybe you should think about that before blaming others."

But Henry was stubborn and didn't like being told what to do. Feeling annoyed, he hung up the phone. He had already given in and paid the hundred million to save face. Now, his own son was telling him off. Wet and uncomfortable, he wiped his hair and noticed a weird smell on his fingers. When he sniffed them, he caught a sour, nasty scent.

The water Genevieve had splashed on him was dirty. Realizing what had happened, Henry was furious.
