The lobby of Miller Industries was packed tight with employees, no one had expected this many to show up.
In the past assemblies, some would take the opportunity to go home early or to get some work done in relative peace and quiet.
"Are you going out there unmasked?" Maya heard Nathaniel ask her brother as they stood to the side of the second-floor balcony.
"I have nothing to hide, Nathaniel," Nico said with a smirk on his lips. "Don't you get tired of all the careful preparation before you step out in public?"
"It's a necessary inconvenience for our privacy," Nathaniel said in a cold tone.
"But you can't do that forever," Nico grumbled.
"I don't plan on doing it this way forever," Nathaniel confessed, drawing Maya's attention.
"Till when then?" Maya asked Nathaniel.
"Until after this mission and until you are comfortable with the public eye," Nathaniel shrugged.
