บท 386: Materialization Realm
The next day, Sophia asked Ryker to meet her in the training room. When he arrived, the older woman gave him a white flower.
"What is this?" Ryker asked.
"This flower is called Soul Orchid. Consuming it will help increase the strength of your soul. Your soul should have reached the peak of Corporeal Realm, correct," Ryker nods, indicating she is right.
"Then this thing will help your Soul reach the Materialization realm," Ryker takes a closer look at the flower.
"How do I refine it?" he asked, which is a valid question. Some treasures can be eaten. Some need to be put close and absorb the energy coming from the treasure.
"As you cultivate your soul, put it close to you. It should help your soul become stronger," Sophia told him.
Ryker nodded before kissing the older woman and walking towards the training room, eager to use it. Meanwhile, Sophia was dumbstruck for a moment.
"That man is really going to be bad for my heart," she muttered, the surprise kiss causing her heart to beat quickly.

As per Sophia's instruction, Ryker put the flower in front of him. He could feel the energy emitted from the flower, freezing to his touch but nourishing his soul.
"That's how it is," he uttered before he cultivated his Soul Art. He circulates the Celestial Soul Art and begins to refine Celestial Nascent Qi. As he strained his Soul Power, the Soul Orchid emitted a white glow, replenishing it and making the Soul Power grow.
He smiled. While he still needs to strain his Soul Power, it is less exhausting and even brings more benefit to him in a short time. Not to mention, his Soul Power improved as he refined Celestial Nascent Qi, and he did not even use it yet.
As he felt his Soul being nourished, he could also tell the Soul Orchid getting dimmer, a sign of it being used.
"From the looks of things, it will not last for more than an hour or so," he guessed.
Though it is a pity, he had expected such a thing, as Soul Orchid is likely a one-use treasure.
"Oh well, I should refine as much Celestial Nascent Qi as I can to make my soul improve as quickly as possible," he said to himself.

The process of refining Celestial Nascent Qi took him almost an hour, during which he managed to create almost 1000 strands. While it may seem a lot, the strands required to improve his Soul Cultivation to the Materialization realm would be barely sufficient.
"Hope this is enough," he looked at the Soul Orchid and saw that its pale white from before had turned greyish.
"I better use it now," he quickly absorbed the remaining energy of the Soul Orchid, nourishing his Soul until there was no need for it.
"Now then, time to feed my Soul the strands," he threw the strands into his Soul, feeling it getting bigger and bigger until it could no longer accept any strands.
He realized he had reached the bottleneck. A smile formed as he began to gather the remaining strands. While it may not have been enough before, he could tell the strands were better, likely the byproduct of him cultivating with a Soul Orchid.
He begins to throw all the strands inside his Soul, soon feeling his Soul bloating out. He did not stop but instead began cultivating the Celestial Soul Art.
His Soul begin to refine the strands, slowly breaking through the bottleneck that stumped many Soul Cultivators. As he circulate the Celestial Soul Art, he feel something changed with his Soul.
He summoned his Soul, before willing it to form into a clone of himself. The Soul Power did just that, to which he touched the Soul. He smiled, as he felt the Soul, meaning he had reached the Materialization Realm.
"I have to thank Sophia for the Soul Orchid," he uttered. But first, he should test his Soul. He will his Soul to appear before willing it to be turned into a Soul Weapon. The Soul took shape into a simple dagger, but he could guess if he managed to stab it into anyone, they would feel excruciating pain in their Soul.
He spread his Soul Sense, trying to sense his limit. "It seems my limit is almost the entire city," he said, surprised and elated by the discovery.
He willed his Soul to appear once more and observed it. He could not tell but he felt something was off with his Soul.
"Maybe it's the aftereffect of splitting my Soul before?" he felt that was the most likely answer, as there was no way for something else to be wrong with his Soul.
"But still, what are the plans father and mother have for them," it is still a mystery why he needs to create them. He knew they would cultivate the different Cultivation Art he had, except for the Celestial Energy Art for whatever reason. It's just why that eludes him.
"Oh well, hope I will learn more in the future," he decides to focus on getting stronger before even trying to solve the mystery that is his parents.

"Looks like you reached the Materialization Realm," Sophia exclaims.
"Yeah, thanks to the Soul Orchid," he said.
"Do you bring it out?" raising her brows at the question, nevertheless, he took out the Soul Orchid.
The older woman grabbed it before putting it inside a pot. She then took out several crystals and crushed them before sprinkling the dust into the pot.
"If it is placed near a special place with a lot of Soul Energy, it is possible to reuse the Soul Orchid," she explained seeing the dumbstruck look on his face.
"You mean it's not a consumable item?!" he asked shocked.
"Yes, believe me, it surprised me as well. But as long as I use Soul Crystal, the crystal you see me crushing earlier, I can replenish the Soul Energy inside it," she explained.
"That is how Sonet managed to reach the Materialization Realm," he raised his brows hearing the information.
Nevertheless, another question popped up inside his head, "Then why not just use the Soul Crystal to strengthen the Soul? Are there any side effects if it is used directly?"
"You are quick, aren't you? But no, aside from some pain, there is no adverse side effect. If it is Soul Stone, then yes, there will be severe effects if one does not clear the impurities but not Soul Crystal.
It's just better to replenish the Soul Orchid, as the gain is better than directly using Soul Crystal," Ryker nodded in understanding.
