บท 123: Meeting Between Genesis Source Experts of Mariz City

After they discussed some more details, they came to an agreement. The Hal Family will take about 20 percent of the map's sales as a commission. The rest will belong to Ryker. After making agreeing with the deal, Ryker left the room, heading towards his room.

The two other people remained. Before long, the ancestor appeared inside the room, looking at the two with a nod.

"That boy. He's really smart. To take advantage of our close relation with him," the elder complained slightly, though there was no heat in it.

"It showed the boy is worth investing in. He knew his strength well. Instead of trying to be greedy, he picks an option that will give him the most profit while not putting himself in any danger with the exception of possibly being under the other's notice," the ancestor remarked.

The two other people knew that the others meant the rest of the great forces. They sighed, "I hope the negotiations will go well,"

In spite of their worries, it was still something that needed to be done. After all, they could be accused of attempting to seize power or something similar. Besides, the ancestor had been working with the baron and the other ancestors for a long time so a quick message and they would find the best time and place to meet up.

The chosen place would be the Noble's Mansion. The ancestor easily entered the place. After all, his prestige is very high in the Barony. He was greeted by a servant before being led to the chosen room.

Inside, he sees all of the Genesis Source realm experts in the city, from the other ancestors equal to him, to the leaders of the Adventure Guild and the Advisor, Captain, and the Baron himself.

"So, for what reason do you call this meeting, old friend?" the baron asked.

The Hal Family ancestor merely took some piece of paper before throwing it to them, every person receiving their own. Their disgruntled look turned to shock and later awe.

"Is this true?" the Branch Leader of the Adventure Guild asked, reeling from the information.

"It has a high possibility of being true. I have a map of the place so we could check it later on to see if it was real. However, I like to make sure the original map, and likely the key to the inheritance, didn't belong to me.

It was someone who was a friend to my Hal Family. He is willing to sell copies of the map to any forces that could afford it. The price, of course, would be steep, but I think it won't be much of a problem," the ancestor of Hal Family told them.

Before they could ask another question, he continued, "I have a copy of the map so we could visit the supposed area. Then we discuss everything else," hearing his words, the others nodded.

They left the city quickly. While the formation could suppress flying beasts and cultivators, it could only do that if the formation was activated fully. After all, the suppressed Genesis Core and Genesis Source realm required a hefty amount of Genesis Stones of high quality, something that cannot be used wantonly.

The group of Genesis Source experts quickly flew to the area. The area is considered mildly dangerous, with the strongest creature being a Stage 5 Genesis Beast, an equivalent to a Genesis Core expert.

After they arrived at the spot, they released their divine sense, quickly sensing something. "There is something here," one of the Vice Head of the Adventure Guild exclaimed.

The Genesis Source experts quickly head to the source of the anomaly, spotting a cave with a pillar in it. The Captain was about to enter when the Baron stopped him. The Baron threw a Genesis Beast he captured earlier, the creature running into the cave only to hit something, vaporizing it out of existence.

"There is a powerful restriction here," the Head of the Adventure Guild exclaimed, before moving closer to take a closer. He had learned his lesson from the beast though, so he kept a safe distance while studying what he could about the restriction. The others decided to do the same thing, looking around for more clues.

After a while, they gathered back, each looking expectantly at the others. "The only thing I can say is the owner of the place is in the Source realm because I believe this is an independent realm,"

The others gasped in shock. While they had expected this to belong to a Source Realm expert, getting clarification from someone else had put the gravity of the situation upon them.

"We need to make sure the information didn't spread," the Baron said, his face serious.

The Hal Family ancestor looked at the man with narrowed eyes, "The key to this place belonged to someone else. He wished for this place to be made known or he keep the key to himself. The only reason he didn't do it was because he didn't believe he could swallow it all,"

"Then have him give us the key, we would provide ample compensation," the Baron insisted.

"You forgetting something, even if we want to hide this place, the moment it opened, there would likely be a sign of its opening, and I don't think we could block it, not with our strength. Our best play is to get as many people as possible on the account to get as many resources as possible.

After all, there could be a possibility the place would collapse after a few days of opening. Rather than try and fail to keep it between ourselves, we could open it for others and claim this is an inheritance of a Sovereign or a Saint. It would still be shocking but at least it wouldn't make those from the Kingdom coming to claim the inheritance,"

Hearing his explanation, the Baron remained silent clearly thinking about it. After some time, he nodded, "Very well, let us do as you say. We will spread the word and get as many people to join. Of course, they would need to pay to get a chance to get the treasures. I think you have a plan regarding this,"

"Yes, though it would still require some tinkering as well and all of you would likely join in as well, right?" the ancestor of Hal Family got some nods for his answer.

"Very well, but most of the profits would be going to the owner of the original map. It was something he found after all so he needed to get some benefits," he said.

"Understood, we will compensate him," the baron agreed.

"The first condition is ample compensation, the second one is...."
