I run down the corridor after Mikado, passing through a big lab and, what it looks like a testing site, ending in a simple room, not too big not too small, there is only a bed at the end of it, and there are five people in the room three women, including Mikado and two little girls.
Mikado was pointing her gun at a big woman that looked like a blob with green skin and tentacles a slimy substance dropping from her skin onto the floor, she was holding the arm of a mature blond woman who had a face that looked in pain.
To the side there were the two little girls, one blond, looking like the little sister of the one that was being held, she had an anxious and scared expression, and the red-haired girl as if hiding behind her big sister, also scared.
???:"Stop right there, not one more step."
said the blob woman
???:"Ugh"
The blond milf grunted painfully.

Mikado:"Let Tearju go, righ now."
???:"Stop you are hurting her."
Said the blond little girl.

Cad:"Well this is going well."
???:"Stop, who are you, have you come to steal my creation too?"
Inquired the blob woman.
Mikado:"*snort* I bet you are just trying to steal the credit from Tearju."
???:"This is my research, mine, I would have found the answers by myself eventually she just sped up the process, this is my merit, mine."
Tearju:"They are not just research they are alive, and they don't deserve this."
*SLAP*
???:"Shut up bitch, a blond bimbo like you has no business being smart, you just have to use your succubus body to please others."
Wow someone is envious.
???:"No stop hurting Tearju."
Demanded the blond girl.
???:"Please*sniff* Let Tearju go *sniff*."
Pleaded the red-haired one.

Cad:"That is not bitter at all coming from a blob."

Mikado:"You're not helping."
Mikado admonishes me with an angry look, but her eye says something else, I think I got the message.
Cad:"Like your comment about stealing was any different."
Mikado:"Are you seriously doing this right now?"
Cad:"You are the one who started it."
Mikado:"Idiot, read the room, can't you see in what situation are we right now?"
Cad:"I know that, I'm just say-
???:"ARE YOU GUYS INSANE?? CAN'T SEE TH-AAARRGGG."
*Push*
*BOOM*
*CRASH*
The blob finally interrupts our banter taking her attention from Tearju, I activate a simple push rune on her launching her body through the wall and Mikado shoots the tentacles that were holding Tearju.
???:"Tear are you alright?"
???:"Tearju."
Cad:"Take them Mikado."
Mikado:"On it, let's go girls."
Tearju:"But what abou-"
Mikado:"Let's go, we have to take these girls out of here."
Tearju:"...Allright."
???:"NOW YOU'VE DONE IT, BOY, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU."
Cad:"That's the spirit, come on girl, show what you can do."
???:"AAAARRRRHHHHHHH."
She shouted in frustration while swinging her tentacles at me, shit, I have seen enough adult content from the East to not like where this can go. Getting more and more frustrated for not being able to hit me she keeps growing in size.
???:"WHY DID YOU GUYS HAVE TO APPEAR, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING, I WAS SO CLOSE, MY RESEARCH, MY NEW BEAUTIFUL BODY."
Cad:"Why the fuck are you spouting your backstory? I don't care, just die already."
???:"YOOOOUUUUUUU."
As if fed up with my taunts she puffs her cheeks and prepares to spit something, as I prepare to raise a barrier, momentarily, a text appears about my more than devil's luck skill activating, which is weird as it has never done that, ever.
With my momentary distraction and fail to notice Tearju coming back into the testing site we are fighting, with a big gun in her hands.
Mikado:"Tear get back here."
Tearju:"Mister Cadmus, she can nullify most of your attacks, please use-Kyaaa."
Cad:"Oh shit
She comes running trying to give me the weapon only to slip in some of the goo that the blob lady spilled all over, acting fast I hold her in princess carry and shield her with my body from all the slime liquid being projected from the blob lady mouth.
???:"BUWAHAHAHAHAHA, NOW SUFFER YOU PEST."
Taking her attack I can't help but deadpan look at her…..My armor and clothes are melting.
Cad:"....Is that it?"
???:"Uh…well….normally people get embarrassed and desperate when losing their protected gear and getting naked so I kill them with blunt force or drown them in my body….."
Cad:"*inhale**sigh*."
*Twweee*-Sond of big weapon getting turned on
???:"No, wait a minute let's talk abo-."
*PEW*
After shooting, her body starts to get bigger and bigger until…
*BLAST*
Tearju:"Kya."
Exploded spread its goo everywhere…That sounded wrong. Tearju got spooked by the sound of the blast
Mikado:"Are you guy o-....Oh my, do you two want some privacy?"
Mikado pokes her head from the entrance with the two little girl only to tease Tearju and cover the girl's eyes. Tearju now had literal smoke coming out of her head.
Cad:"Can you get down?"
Tearju:"Oh, sorry, I must be heavy."
Cad:"Is that really the first thing that came into your head."
Tearju:"Sorry."
???:"Stop bullying Tearju."
Cad:"I'm not…. not yet."
Tearju:"Eh??"
Mikado:"So in not just muscles and height that have improved growth….wonder how it will look when it reaches full maturity, lucky Ivy."
Cad:"I'm glad you got your priorities straight."
Mikado:"...*cough* We should go now, but first we have to find some clothes for you guys."
Mikado blushes from my comment, now noticing that she wasn't exactly subtle about hers, and tries to change the subject.
Tearju:"Uh? What are you talking abou-KYAA."
Yeah, when I protected Tearju only a little splash hit her clothes so she wasn't really affected, but when blob woman exploded we got completely covered by her goo… Again, that sounds wrong…or right? Anyway so not only me but Tearju also is completely naked.
Car:"Here Tearju, I think these clothes will fit you."
Tearju:"T-thanks."
She thanks me and rushes to the room to get dressed.
Sven:"Hey are you guys ok? OH MY GOD, HOW ARE YOU SO BIG?"
Sven comes through the door with the rest in tow, Ivy must have already taken control of the ship and they must have subdued all hostiles.
Cad:"*shrugs* A healthy diet?"
Sven:"Bullshit."
Train:"Stop staring Saya."
Saya:"Why do you care dumbass, I'm single."
Train:"....He is eight years old."
Tearju gets back and hearing Saya get surprised.
Tearju:"WHAT??"
Saya:"I'm just looking not touching, leave me alone."
I sigh and proceed to dress mine.
Tearju, Mikado, Saya, Lala:"*sigh*"
Sven:"...You guys don't have to be this disappointed about it."
Sven complains about the girl's reaction to me dressing my clothes and Train makes a complicated expression. Mikado finally takes her hand off the little girl's eyes.
???:"Tear are you alright?"
???:"Tearju."
Tearju:"I am alright girls, Mister Cadmus has saved me, saved us."
She smiles warmly at the girls who are now hugging her while crying, patting their heads.
Cad:"Meh, Thank Mikado, she is the reason I am here."
Tearju:"Yes, Thank you so much Mikado, and everyone else, I don't know if I could have taken these girls out of here by myself."
Cad:"Great, let's go to the bridge, we have much to discuss, and I want to hear what was being done in this facility and what your work was Tearju, am I clear?"
At my words, she visibly tensed and her grip on the girls tightened.
Mikado:"It ok Tearju, he is trustworthy."
Tearju:"....Ok, just promise me that you won't do anything bad to these girls."
Cad:"I only reciprocate, it will depend on them."
Tearju:"...Thank you."
With that everybody goes outside the room, I take a last glance at it, and take time to absorb one of the pieces of the lady close to the entrance, which unlocked a new race and skills, I now have tentacles….hehehehehehehehe.
I leave, not before quickly inscribing a rune in the passage.
Turning around the corner I blend with the shadow and wait for a while, I didn't have to wait for very long when.
*PSHHH*
*THUD*
Getting back to the entrance of the room I see my rune activated and shining, making a tank-like barrier, like one I saw in the other lab holding some specimens. Inside is a formless figure is trapped.
Cad:"What are you?"
???:"..."
It doesn't answer in the usual way, but I can feel that it was offended by the 'what'.
Cat:"Sorry, who are you?"
???:"..."
Cad:"Yes, somehow I can understand you, not what you are exactly saying but your intent."
???:"....."
Cad:"Save you? Why should I do that?"
???:"..."
Cad:"Don't be so depressed, it is a genuine question. What are your intentions once I saved you?"
???:"...."
Cad:"Useful uh?…."
Cad:"I save you and you come under me, is that correct?"

Cad:"Alright, how do we do this?"

Cad:"Sure."
I deactivate the rune and approach the formless figure, touching it, it enters my body. As it enters my body I absorb part of it and a new race, called Living Dark Matter is added.
Closing my eye for a moment I am now in a great plain, with great pastures, and a simple charming house in the center of it. A humanoid dark figure looking like a mannequin stands there looking at it all.
Cad:"Not what you expected right?"
It gets startled by my voice and turns around.
???:"What's all of this? What are you? What have you done to me?"
Cad:"*cuckle* Quite demanding for someone who was trying to take over my body."
???:"...."
Cad:"This is my soul's space, what I am will take a while to explain and you have done it to yourself when you tried to copy my DNA."
???:"And what will happen to me?"
Cad:"You tell me, the same applies to you, I reciprocate, and you will be punished for trying to take over my body but you didn't have malicious intent if I had to guess it had something to do with your unstable nature."
???:"....."
Cad:"Anyway, that will be your home for now, we have much to discuss in the future but I'll let you rest for now, seems like this is the first time you are able to take a form."
Still without answering, the humanoid takes the shape of a little girl, dark skin, yellow eyes. She had a neutral expression on her face as if not even she knew what to think of it.

Cad:"Huh?"
Nemesis:"Failed dark matter experiment, Codename Nemesis, so that's going to be my name."
Cad:"You don't look like a failure to me."
At my comment she looked a little more relaxed, a little more pleased, she still had her guard up tho.
Cad:"Well, it is nice to meet you Nemesis, may this be the start of a long-standing friendship."
Nemesis:"...Maybe"
And with that, I leave the soul's space to join the others.
