Just before she started eating, she sent out a message in the family chat group informing them that she had returned. Then she took a picture of Rose and sent it as well, 'new family member, you have become uncles and grandparents again. If you visit us today come bearing gifts.' 

She figured that it would be less awkward if they were already aware of her presence when they visited. 

Before she could begin eating, her phone rung and she noticed that her mother was calling probably to welcome her back and ask about Rose. 

"Mother, I will explain later, I am about to eat. Please tell dad too and my brothers, I know they are going to call next. I will visit home tomorrow with the children."

Her mother replied and something that made Chi Lian laugh before she hung up and said goodbye.
