บท 389: The Engagement[2]

On this snowy afternoon, at the Grand Palace hotel in the capital city, many luxurious cars slowly arrived past a crowd of eager photographers, paparazzi and eager journalists who were falling over themselves to capture pictures of the guests as they evacuated their cars. 

It was national news that on this day, one of the empire's most wanted bachelors was holding his engagement banquet. His fiancé Chi Lian was an up and coming business woman who had successfully sneaked onto the list of business people in the empire to look out for this year. 

The biggest reason why some of the paparazzi were here was to capture a picture of Chi Lian whose name was on the lips of many people today thanks to the events of last night. Most of the rubbish posts had been deleted but some posts remained, especially those that corrected the narrative. 

Hotel security was doing their best to keep the press at bay.
