บท 308: The emperor incognito

The way Madam An was reacting was making all the people close to them curious and also surprised. It was just as Chi Lian had predicted and only her mother was not seeing the abnormality in the situation.

Since Madam Wang was being nice and friendly, Chi Lian brought Mei-Mei forward to greet her. She was her biological great grandmother after all so she was family.

"Mei-Mei, call great grandmother." She told her daughter. 

Adorably, Mei-Mei parroted, "Great grandmother." 

"Oh, how wonderful!!!" Madam Wang clapped her hands. "She can talk and her voice is so adorable." She reacted as if Mei-Mei was the first child in the universe to discover talking. 

It was simply an overly exaggerated reaction. What happened next shocked the other guests even more. 

"Old master Wang squatted down turned Mei-Mei around and ordered, "Call great grandfather."
