Alex reacted quickly, using a fire blast to move out of the way in time. He wouldn't have had enough time to dodge if he hadn't thought about such a possibility earlier.

He was certain that the firebolt sent toward him would have killed him if it had landed on him, yet from what he could see, not a single person moved to help him.

Even Silas, despite looking engrossed in the fight, didn't move a muscle to help him.

'Is there some kind of formation that makes it so I can't get hurt.' Alex thought as a cold sweat covered his back.

The rest of the fight went on pretty normally. Alex did his best to fight against the person before him, yet no matter what he threw at him, the young man would walk out of the dust cloud without a single scratch.

Alex would have thought that he might have been invulnerable to flame-based attacks, but if that was the case, wouldn't his clothes be affected by his attacks?
