A fully grown Loki walked upon the surroundings of the Royal Castle. He passed through many gardens and rich people's inhabitants. Between his fingers fluttered a paper with magic. Till he saw a young, handsome man with short black hair.
He approached him and waved his hand. "Hello, Osi."
The young man was sweating. In his hands was a simple sword. Osi swiped the sweat out of his forehead with his arm before smiling. "Loki! How are you?"
"I'm great! Just showed my accomplishments to Odin, and he was quite satisfied," responded Loki, placing his hand on Osi's shoulder, a typical Asgardian greeting.
"Congratulations, you must have broken many records in terms of early achievements." Said Osi, placing his sword on the ground and holding himself with it.
"Probably. Anyway, how is training treating you?" asked Loki, eyeing the sword that he had gifted him for his birthday.
"Boring as ever. I have long surpassed everyone, even the so-called warrior threes." He responded, his eyes to the left, remembering as he beat the shit out of them.
"As expected of my friend." Said Loki a sly smile on his face.
"That is ridiculously reducing," he said with frowning eyebrows.
"I'm still your better," teased Loki.
"Yeah, yeah." Shrugged off Osi with a wave of a hand.
"Have you made any significant progress?" asked Loki.
"Not that much. I don't really have anything more to learn from the basic instructors. And one can only learn from stronger instructors after having finished one's studies." responded Osi, looking at the ground a bit depressed.
A chuckle left Loki's mouth. "Don't worry, I have great news for you."
"Oh," muttered Osi, looking at Loki with expectations.
"Look at this!" said Loki, showing him the small white piece of 'paper'.
Osi squinted his eyes. "There is nothing written on it!"
"Yup, it will only be readable in a few hours with Odin's permission. I could try to show the text without his permission, but it would take more than a few hours, so that's dumb." Responded Loki, a grin showing his white teeth.
"Then why did you show this to me??" asked Osi with a confused expression.
"Guess what this is?" said Loki with his hand on the side of his head.
"I don't know… your doctor's paper with your mental results?" responded Osi, one eye wider opened.
"… No! It's my end studies test!" answered Loki, looking at Osi as if he were a clown.
"So soon?!" practically yelled Osi in surprise.
"Yup and guess what!" said Loki, a mysterious glint in his green eyes.
"What?"
"If I pass my test, you will receive some sort of test to become my right-hand man. So, we could go on missions together!" said Loki practically jumping with excitement.
"You have to pass!" responded Osi with wide eyes and a serious expression.
"You too!" chuckled Loki.
"Well, then I have to go!" said Loki. "Good luck!" he shouted before disappearing toward his castle.
He passed through the gigantic gates under the congratulations of the servants, contrary to cannon Loki, this Loki was respected even though he did quite a ton of mischief. His pranks had limits, however, and didn't borderline assassination attempts.
As he opened the door to the dining room, Thor jumped at him with a cheery smile. Loki sidestepped, dodging his blond brother.
Thor looked at him with a hurt expression, "Why did you dodge me?"
"Why wouldn't I dodge it?" asked Loki, a flabbergasted expression on his face.
"Because I'm your brother!" responded Thor before tightly hugging him.
"Congratulations," he and his mother said.
"Thanks"
Loki looked at the room with an excited face. On the table stood a vast variety of Loki's favorites.
"Are you hungry?" asked Frigga looking at him with a smile.
"Yes!" responded Loki, nodding and eyeing the food with a glutton glint.
"Then let's eat!" said Thor with a radiant face. He also couldn't wait to taste those delights.
And so, the three of them began eating, the sound of cluttering ringing like a soft melody. After finishing eating, Thor clapped his hands and sang with an atrocious voice, "Reveal it! Reveal it!"
Loki looked at Odin, who nodded with a smile on his face.
So, he conjured the paper back in his hand, and read out loud, "Steal a Jörmungandr's egg."
Silence enveloped the room.
Frigga looked at Odin with a harsh glare, promising a not-so-satisfying talk later on. Thor's fork fell from his hand, and a single thought screamed in Loki's mind.
'WUT?????'
"Father, do you not like Loki?" asked Thor with a small, flabbergasted voice.
"I trust him," simply responded Odin, continuing to eat, trying to ignore Frigga's gaze.
"It's not about trust!" reprimanded Frigga. "We are talking about a Jörmungandr!"
In Norse mythology, Jormungandr was a son of Loki and a gigantic snake encircling the earth.
But here in this universe, it was the name of a gigantic snake race. Who were feared throughout the universe because of their size and poison capable of even killing gods!
"He doesn't need to fight it," responded Odin with an ever-calm expression.
'WUT????????????????????????????????????????????????'
—(Line Break)—
(Loki's Pov)
After saying goodbyes to my family and friends, I walked to the Bifrost room and greeted Heimdall with a cold, concentrated expression.
"Good luck, Prince Loki," he said before opening the rainbow bridge, sending me to a completely different world.
I closed my eyes and remembered the information I read in a book about Jörmungandrs.
A grown Jormungandr is usually around 100 meters long. It had a deadly poison, so one should not approach it. Its eyesight is much better than many races. They can clearly see things such as small birds even if perched at their 100-meter height.
I looked around me, trying to figure out the environment and how I could use it.
I saw lots of high trees, a weirdly shaped mountain, fields of red flowers, monkeys jumping around three branches, sharp grass, and a dangerous stench in the air.
Ok so now, where is that snake? I doubt Heimdall must have sent me far away from him. And considering their size, I should be able to see them. But I don't see any Jormungandr.
Wait… A weirdly shaped mountain.
I squinted my eyes and closely looked at the mountain. It couldn't be… right?
Oh, hell nah!!!!!!!!!!
