The monster that attacked at night looked like nothing more than an amalgamation of frosted twigs, ready to break apart from a sneeze. Break apart even more—they were already in shambles after Cael was done with the creature. Thankfully, it wasn't strong in open combat—but it hid well, and its abilities were exceedingly tricky.
Cael listened to Myrna's story after she recovered, with some help from his side—the attack of the "Blizzard Blower" was really subtle. Cael didn't blame Myrna for falling to it.
But there was a silver lining. As if the creature was aligned with the snowstorm, as soon as Blizzard Blower was defeated, the blizzard slowly died down. In a few hours, the wind stilled almost entirely—around the ground, at least. The further up, the stronger the wind became again.
The sky was still concealed by a veil of winds and snow.
