บท 295: Dragon madness

"This is the report I received just now," the chief ambassador said, pacing over the embassy's main hall in agitation. "Dragons! Just now, dragons attacked the ship that brought our delegation to this country. It was waiting for us in the harbor we have arrived at, but now it's ashes. Dragons, out of nowhere! Can you believe it? And this is just one attack."

Cael and Ginevra returned to the embassy as soon as they could. Besides them, other members of the diplomatic mission gathered, listening quietly. They couldn't stifle their gasps of shock over the news, though.

"What?" Cael exclaimed in disbelief. "But…"

He trailed off. He couldn't say that he just talked with the dragon leader and agreed to peace. There were too many ears, and if Cael spilled the Void's secret, the consequences would be dire.
