บท 220: The Eternal Dusk Court

Despite her exile, Irmilla was thriving when Cael last met her. The sentence might've explained why she was in the Kingdom of the Bear, but not why she was in Riviera… or killed Suor Caravaggio.

German leafed through the history book to the next illustration. It showed massive dark iron gates encrusted with ominously shining red stones.

"The gates to Blood Trial, located within the Eternal Dusk Court. This is a special sub-space, gifted to vampires by the Twilight Twins long ago. Whoever passes the trials inside gets a blessing of the Twins and is considered to be above the law; but those who lose… Some die, while others suffer a blow to their mana pool that renders them unable to use mana for anything more than sustaining themselves."

"So this is what Irmilla is risking," Cael murmured, leafing through further pages.
