I'm married. Those words hit me again and again as I sat next to Lex in the car. We were on our way to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to me, Mom had booked a private room inside one of the resorts last minute. It was a very nice resort in the city that we had stayed at a few times before. I was still in awe of everything she had accomplished in such a short amount of time.

"I'm married." I thought the words again, but this time I must have said them out loud.

"We're married." Lex said with a nervous smile as he took my hand. "Things are different now, but I know we will be OK."

"More than OK." I nodded at him.

The banquet room in the hotel was more than I expected. Everyone who went to decorate it did a fantastic job. The colors were purple, similar to the accents Lex and the others were wearing with their suits. And the ring Mom had given Lex to give to me even matched the theme, as well.
