Being guided into the throne room, I saw several of the other Gods and Goddesses who were waiting for me. They all looked eager and impatient, but the moment they saw me, they changed. They now looked radiant and thrilled, as if my presence alone was giving them exactly what they needed. 

And in a way, it was. They'd been waiting for me for the last fourteen years. Before that, they'd been waiting for someone to take over the Underworld for centuries. They'd been here, nearly trapped, for millennia, and they wanted to be reborn. I understood it, had seen it first-hand with others who were reborn. It's to be expected, after so many years of doing the same thing over and over again.
