When I stopped there, frozen in my tracks after leaving the Unity meeting with the others, I had not expected that both CJ and Reagan would have done the exact same thing. Nor did I expect that they had frozen in place for the same reason as me. Yes, I know now that it was obvious, given the things that had happened in the last two weeks or so, but still why would I have thought about this right from the beginning?

Well, they had stopped for the same reason, and just as the word went through my mind, they said it in unison.

"Mate." They had said it then turned to look at each other with eyes that were narrowed. I had a sinking suspicion that something was really, really wrong here. And they had the same feeling, but only about each other.
