บท 35: Chapter 35- Rika – Spreading the News (VOLUME 1)

I had heard the raised voices, so had Mom. We knew that the guys were in the other room, verbally duking it out like a couple of little boys. They had their things that they needed to say to each other, mostly what Dad needed to say to Westin. And it was going to be tense for several minutes. I am sure that was why Mom had opted to follow me into the kitchen and away from the testosterone fest.

In truth, we had stood there in the kitchen, coffee prepped and ready for a while before we even started to talk. We had just been listening to them and their words toward each other.

"That was some amazing devotion." I smiled when I heard my mom's words. "To hear Westin say those things, that he would never hurt you and that your dad is allowed to hurt him if he ever did. You do know that your dad is going to take that to heart, right? He will be watching him for a long time to make sure that he never hurts you."
