บท 77: Burden of Guilt

Ragnar did not immediately attend the grand wedding ceremony of the Gamaaloth people. Instead, he first visited the funeral of Risjad.

Risjad's lifeless body was carefully wrapped in woven cloth. His wife held him tightly, bidding him a tearful farewell before the emissaries of Ragnar proceeded to cast his body into the sacred river, Sleeping Run.

The air was heavy with sorrow as the mourners watched the gentle flow of the river carry Risjad's remains away.

Each ripple seemed to echo the loss felt by those who knew and loved him. Ragnar stood in silent contemplation.

Ragnar left a significant amount of money for Risjad's wife and children, who tearfully accepted it. They were informed that their beloved Risjad had passed away as a righteous man.

They were told that in his final moments, Risjad had made every effort to save Lady Sophia's life.
