บท 17: DIGGING
I woke up to an empty bed, he was nowhere to be found looking as if e travelled without saying goodbye. Is this what he meant by getting to know each other because if you ask me Logan is a hard nut to crack. Just something about him that gets me confused., one minute he's totally into me and the next. He disappears into thin air.
grumbling I toss the blanket to the other side of the bed and went straight for a bath I returned an hour later to find the room neatly organized. One thing about Logan's house, it's always neat. I noticed it in his office too, he seems to value hygiene a lot. What a nice spec. Got dressed and went downstairs to get breakfast. I don't know why these people just want to feed me with food, cause I don't remember telling them I desire to put on weight.
IN ANOTHER COUNTRY IT WAS AT MIDDAY.
Seating in an office were four individuals staring at nothing in particular but waiting for the news they requested.
Sighs. Dude, this suspense is killing me, what's going on?? asked Liam who was losing his patience but Logan didn't even flinch. One of his bad habits.
What's so important that we had to leave Texas?? Logan, you had better have a good reason for this because I don't understand, said Leo who appeared exhausted but earned a dangerous glare from Logan.
As a kid, you all know my story, but for the 10 years when I disappeared, you have no idea. I was taken to an organization for training. My distant uncle said he was preparing me for the future. This wasn't any normal organization, it was meant to train you as an assassin. I didn't just become the best, I also became the uncontrollable. Decided where and when to kill, I became out of control because what the organization wanted was a pawn and what I wanted was control. I got bored of the place and decided to do something new, I challenged my teacher and defeated him, but when I found out how corrupt the organization was, I attempted to kill the boss. They saw me as a threat and wanted me dead. I escaped killing 50 of the first-class assassins sent to kill me. That was at the age of 20. I dived deep into the underworld and learned its ropes. I rule things that no one can ever imagine.
Leo and Liam's faces had grown pale. They knew they were messy and that their friend was evil but they seem to be frightened by the thought that their friend could be the king of the underworld nobody knew but feared the most. If he's this scary here and the world knows and fears him this much without even knowing his real personality what more if they knew??
Now that's not the problem, the point is, I think Nalani is from that organization and she did something terrible for her to have lost everything about her memory. It was forcefully done to her. Yes, she had an accident but her memory was erased. Her results show that the accident was real. But whoever placed her in my company knows who I am. But that isn't my problem. The question is why are they trying so hard to protect her?? What does she know and what did she do?

You guys can head back to Texas I've got business to take care of, and I don't know when I'll be going back.
They already knew what he meant. He was asking them to take care of Nalani in his absence, if they screw up, this would be the end of them

I swear never in my wildest thoughts would I have imagined Logan as the king of the underworld. Like never!! confessed Leo.
Somehow I'm not surprised, I mean he throws threats like it's nothing at all. Funny how his heart fell for someone like him. If his hunch is right, then there's going to be a serious drama.
