บท 85: Battle of words - Part 1

Irene was absent-mindedly, her mind reeling back to the time when the King of Rothnia himself had visited while she was ranting about his behavior towards his Council of Ministers. She could not evade the memories of how the man had whispered near her ear, his hot breath caressing his cheeks and neck and her face flushed immediately.

Although the man was invisible, she knew it was him. She felt it, she sensed it, her heart sensed it. His voice was familiar, his aura was familiar and even the intimacy they had shared while Reyna was away was also familiar. It was as if she had lived those sometime in the past.

"Milady, watch your step." Reyna's alarmed tone brought her out of her stupor and she looked at her first before looking ahead of her. 

Irene's eyes widened immediately when she noticed that she was about to bump into one of the pillars of the courtyard. And considering how quickly she was walking, she would suffer a nasty smash for sure.
