In the cottage, Liz was seen chanting in the middle of a circle drawn with weird designs in it. She needed to gather enough spiritual force to create a stronger and much-lasting illusionary spell.
The spell would blend the cottage with the forest, making it look like ordinary trees that are a part of the forest. It also has to be strong enough to hypnotize the ordinary human mind from getting closer to it. This kind of spell takes a lot of mana from the caster making them weak and pale if they do not have enough.
Also, the caster had to constantly feed it with spiritual force to prevent it from breaking or getting weak. If the spell got weak, the hypnosis would not work. And if the spell could not hypnotize minds, then anyone could barge into it. Hence breaking the illusion and finding them out.
Liz had managed to gather half a spiritual force, and she was sure she would be able to gather enough to create the spell by dawn. She was lucky she used to create devious spells back then. Though she wasn't proud of what she had used them for, she had at least developed skills out of that, else this spell would have destroyed her meridian.
In the parlor, Anna was getting worried once again. She had seen how Liz looked so pale these days and it worried her. What if she could not handle this sorcery thing and something happened to her? She would never forgive herself for putting Liz in this situation.
Maybe awakening this red elf blood or whatever thing in her would not be bad. At least the burden wouldn't fall on Liz alone. She could use the very thing these people wanted in her to fight against them right??
But...but how would she awaken it?? She knows nothing about this and Liz doesn't know much about the red elves either.
Anna felt dispirited. Why were these things happening to her? When she finally thought she had found her true family, she was about to lose it.
No, she couldn't let this happen.
In the palace, the maids had brought a lot of gowns into Nora's room so she could try them on and pick one. She kept trying them on one after the other while receiving flattery comments from the maids.
"My Lady, red has always been your style. I think the red gown suits you better..."
"No, the velvet green compliments your skin better My Lady," Another maid said pointing at one gorgeous gown on the bed.
"Alright, you can all leave now except Louisa.." Nora ordered still looking at the clothes on the bed. Her face was filled with smiles.
All the maids had left, leaving beside her a young maid almost the same age as Nora herself. She had her head lowered and unlike the other maids, she wasn't throwing any compliments at Nora.
" So Louisa, what do you think of my marriage?" Nora asked with a smirk on her face.
Louisa was Anna's maid. No, it will be right to say they were more like sisters. Wherever Anna was, Louisa would be right beside her. The only place Louisa wouldn't follow Anna into was Andrew's courtyard. She would stand outside and wait for Anna because Andrew wouldn't let anyone else in apart from Anna. When Anna went missing, Nora requested for her to be her maid. Of course not out of kindness...
Louisa looked at Nora and didn't know exactly what to say. She wasn't in favor of this marriage, not because the man was Anna's but because the marriage and the man in all were strange... Although she never liked Nora, she wouldn't wish anything bad to happen to her. After all, she was Anna's sister.
"My...my Lady, don't you think you have to reconsider this marriage? I mean... no one knows why Princess Anna run aw..."
Then, Nora interrupted her before she continued.
"What is wrong with all of you... What? You feel bad because am marrying the man that belongs to Anna?? Well, sorry to tell you that this marriage is now mine. And I am wearing that blue gown over there..." Nora declared while pointing at a beautiful blue gown hanging beside her wardrobe.
It looked almost exactly like what Anna wore on the day she was getting married.
Louisa turned her head toward the direction where Nora's finger was pointing and was shocked. Did she have to go as far as to get a similar gown too?? She wanted to be Anna that bad??
Louisa thought and almost chuckled but restrained herself. Sleeping in her little room was better than the dungeon.
"Now, I want a better answer. What do you think of my marriage??" Nora asked again.
Louisa knew her place. She wouldn't go far, especially when it came to someone like Princess Nora.
"My lady, your marriage is perfect," she said with a smile plastered on her face.
"Now how do you think that gown will look on me?" Nora asked again aiming to taunt her.
"You would look elegant my lady" Louisa answered her again with the smile still on her face.
" Good, now you look like a good little maid. Bring the gown and lay it neatly here. Be careful with it. Any scratch on it, and am telling my father about your feelings for my brother..."
Nora said with a devious smirk on her face. Her words froze Louisa who was walking towards the gown.
"Ooh, you think I don't know you've been harboring feelings for Andrew? Too bad my cold brother does not give a damn about women. Am not sure he had ever noticed you. Anyway, I believe you know what will happen if the king finds out that a maid is having feelings for the crown prince... So handle my dress well..." Nora said calmly wiping the smile off Louisa's face.
