บท 192: What does a Kujidere want?

Tristan followed her instructions, keeping his hood up and following her into the hall. She nodded to a pair of guards by the door, dressed in what looked like a modified version of a habit.

'So they are all females, I see, which makes sense since the Order is mainly dedicated to femininity; then why did Alethia make an exception for me? Some new rules? Or maybe because I'm different?' Tristan wondered. He wanted to ask more, but he knew that if he tried to learn too much, it could get him in trouble.

'Are they a few centuries old too? Maybe... Nah, that sounds stupid,' he thought, deciding not to dwell on it.

He adjusted his hood as he lowered his head, trying to minimize eye contact with the guards.

"You look different," one of the ladies said, her voice dripping with concern.

"I don't think I've seen you before," the other added. "Where have you come from?"
