"I'll switch the lights off after I go to the restroom. So go back to your room and sleep." Grandma said, as she headed to the restroom.
When Nidia went back to her room, she heard Grandma mumbling, "You two nightowls, eating take-outs and staying up all night. Your bodies are going to end up with lots of problems someday! Lord!"
Nidia closed her bedroom door, not daring to talk back.
She waited until Grandma came out of the restroom, switched off the lights, and headed back to her bedroom to sleep.
Nidia glanced at the phone next to her. Since the call hadn't ended, she said, "You heard that, my grandmother is away. So you can't come in, no matter what. Just tell me whatever you want to say on the phone. If you don't have anything to say, good night."
The man chuckled mischievously. His laugh was deep, reaching Nidia's ears through the phone. The weather may have been too cold, and Nidia shivered slightly.
