A few seconds later, Jackson turned away. He signed the lower right corner of the document and said calmly, "You don't look that good."
Sophia's expression froze. Her shyness vanished almost immediately.
Angelica froze as well, but out of sheer fury. Her expression darkened. As the previous owner of the Cunningham Manor, she immediately tried to de-escalate the situation.
"Well, it's Sophia's first time trying this style of clothing. It's quite simple. I agree, such clothes don't suit our bright and cheerful Sophia. Her usual style suits her beautiful face much better." Angelica pushed the blame on the fashion style, at the same time complimenting Sophia's looks.
Angelica was once a young woman, so she knew what girls Sophia's age liked to hear.
Sophia pressed her lips gently.
Angelica was relieved when the mood lightened slightly.
"Come here, Sophia. We'll sit there and wait until he's finished with work."
