Zenesha was surprised for a moment before she calmed down and looked at Prime. She was just about to think of how she could meet him, and now he was already here, as though he seemed to be waiting for her to initially control the Spirit Shackles.
Perhaps, he really was.
"Congratulations," Prime stopped clapping his hands, but they were still clasped in front of him, grinning at her. "It's much faster than I expected."
Prime was standing on the balcony while she was sitting in a chair inside. They seemed close enough with a few steps of distance, if only there wasn't an invisible barrier between them.
Her initial excitement calmed down, and she became tense once more. From the very beginning, she was doing this to escape and control her fate. But the more she knew about the reality of her situation, the more she was awakened to the fact that she was still so far from reaching that goal.
"What was your expectation?" Zenesha calmly inquired, her blue eyes firmly fixated on the man standing before her.
"I don't have an exact estimate," he shrugged as an answer, as though he couldn't care less about this matter at all now that she had already accomplished it.
Zenesha also didn't pursue it, it was only a conversation starter for her. She knew that these small things wouldn't enter Prime's eyes, and if not for her unique situation, she might not capture his attention at all.
Instead, now that they could finally talk again, she wanted to ask him a lot of things and continue everything that had been halted two weeks ago. This was far more important to her than anything else.
She nodded, crossing her legs and putting her hands on her lap while straightening her back. She had become dignified again, and Zenesha believed that for someone to be taken seriously, especially in a disadvantageous position, they had to first appear reliable and competent.
"How about we begin discussing important matters now?" Zenesha cut off the chase and directly added, "I already succeeded. Then you can tell me now what I should do to help you find what you are looking for.
Prime's grin slightly faded, and his eyes narrowed, staring directly at her. Zenesha, despite being intimidated by this gaze, didn't avert her eyes and bravely endure.
It took a few seconds before Prime's grin widened, his expression bright as usual. He nodded, and then nearly laughed. He stepped closer and shortened their distance, until he stopped right at the boundary of the balcony, the invisible barrier separating them.
She didn't know if he purposely stopped there or if that was because he couldn't enter inside. Perhaps it was the former.
His head and gaze were lowered, intently gazing at her, his golden pupils filled with amusement and interest. She lifted her head and faced her, not bothering to stand from her seat. They were only a step apart from each other, and yet that one step was close to impossible for her to take.
"You're really interesting," he smirked, his voice deep and almost ethereal. "Now, we can talk... At least, you are barely qualified to help me." He didn't forget to add his last sentence.
Zenesha didn't bat an eyelid at that statement. It was because she knew that Prime was right and that, in her circumstances, she was only barely qualified to talk about his matters.
She was truly weak and powerless, and it made her want to strive forward even harder than she ever had in her life.
"I'm only waiting for you." She responded, saying that although she might be weak and appear insignificant in his eyes, Zenesha's pride would never let her be looked down upon. At the very least, she didn't want to be taken advantage of or subjected to unfair treatment.
His right brow rose before he let out a chortle. Prime stood firmly in his place, shifting his gaze into the distance before he returned to her. Instantly, he snapped his fingers as an illusory veil shrouded them within.
Zenesha could sense that something had changed in her surroundings, but she didn't know exactly what it was. She arched her neck and looked at the ceiling, only to be met by golden swirls of abstract images that seemed to give an illusion to the one looking at them.
Her mouth parted, before she returned her gaze to Prime, amazed by this. This time, her eyes have already widened. Unknowingly, their surroundings had changed, as though she had been transported to another place, even though she was still sitting in her position.
She roamed her eyes; she was still certain that this was her room, as the outline could still be fairly discerned. However, golden swirls that were mixed with golden mists surrounded her vicinity. Upon looking closely, there were even different symbols of clocks dancing around them.
"What is this?" Zenesha couldn't help but blurt something out, whip her head, and return to look in front of her.
"I influenced this area for a bit, stopping time for us," Prime answered him casually, sipping from his teacup. He was now also sitting in a chair that he had conjured, with a complete set of a table and refreshments.
Zenesha blinked her eyes for a moment to take in this scene before she exhaled and leaned on her seat. Thinking of Prime's identity as a Time Dragon, this ability didn't seem farfetched.
"Will those beings not notice the anomaly?" She still didn't forget that there were some terrifying existences at the level of Prime monitoring them, so she had to ask this to be sure.
He shrugged, enjoying the deserts he conjured, "Who knows?"
Upon hearing this answer, Zenesha glared at him, which only earned a malicious laugh at most. However, this made her calm down. Since, Prime was playful most of the time, she would treat it as his joke.
In fact, she was just too tense. She understood after a few seconds that Prime might have done this so what they were about to talk about wouldn't be leaked to prying eyes and ears.
"Can you be serious?" She spat out, her left eyelid twitching. This dragon knew how to push her buttons too much.
Prime laughed once more, still as casual as before. Since she knew that she couldn't win against him, Zensha chose to shut up and wait for him. She even started to taste the deserts too, and they were too sweet for her liking. Was Prime extremely fond of sweets?
She watched Prime eat the deserts in front of him. Fortunately, it only took a few minutes, and he wiped his lips with a white cloth before sipping the tea and finally looking at her.
"Patience," he nodded and smiled satisfactorily, without him finishing his sentence, she already could discern that she was about to commend her characteristic like he always did for some annoying reason.
"Are you done? Can you now tell me... what is the thing you are looking for?" Zenesha decided to ask directly, otherwise Prime might act up again and their conversation would turn to something nonsense again.
She boldly said it, as they were clearly isolated from the world, and she wasn't afraid that someone was listening to them.
Prime leaned on his seat, he appeared much more serious now, even with a casual smile on his lips. And without letting her wait, he finally revealed what he was looking for.
"My main body. I'm looking for my main body."
Zenesha furrowed her brows, she couldn't understand... what? His main body?
