With her reaction, the evil laughter coming from Prime became louder. Zenesha couldn't even make herself be angry with this laugh, as her mind was only focused on one thing.
She could now talk in Zenesha's body. Wait, she was still in the middle of an act. How was that possible?
To be certain about this, she tried to move her hand, and she could really do it! She wasn't the puppet Zenesha, but she was really her! It sounded confusing, but it was really confusing!
The surprise in her expression couldn't be concealed, and she lifted her head to look at Prime with her wide eyes.
"How?" Zenesha was at a loss for words, and that was the only word she could manage to utter. She didn't even care about the annoying smile on Prime's lips.
She only wanted to know how this could happen.
"I only suppress the influence of this world with your soul," Prime answered nonchalantly while he was still leaning on the couch, looking at her with the same amusement as before in his eyes.
Zenesha gaped once more with surprise, and although Prime said it as though it were nothing, she was extremely aware of how amazing its implications were.
That could be done? She fixed her gaze on the man intensely, while Prime only smiled and didn't mind her hot gaze at all, and he seemed to even enjoy it.
After a while, Zenesha couldn't help but ask, "How can you do that?" Her mind was only thinking about this miraculous event that had never happened before during her three months in this world.
At her question, Prime's grin appeared to widen noticeably, and he seemed to anticipate her asking this question.
"Simple, it's one of my abilities," he responded as if it were nothing once more.
Zenesha opened her mouth to ask something again but consciously closed it again after pondering it. Instead, she leaned back in her seat and tried to relax. While she was indeed eager to know how Prime did it, she still realized that there was no way the other could easily tell her the truth.
And with her years of experience in the underground world, she wasn't naive to think that the other was helping her escape her fate just because he felt like it without any reason at all. This wasn't realistic, and as Zenesha thought about it, he was only showing her his abilities. What was the reason he was doing this? That was something she had to find out.
She stared at Prime while pondering all this in her head, and another thing—probably the most crucial—from all this. Zenesha was aware that for Prime to have an ability like this, he was someone far more dangerous than he thought. She became extremely alert because of this.
As her attitude changed from earlier and she calmed down, Prime's eyes flashed with even more interest than before, and he slightly chuckled for a moment.
He raised his brows at her; the obvious glee in his expression couldn't be concealed, or, to be more accurate, it was accurate to say that he wasn't hiding it from Zenesha.
"Smart, calm, cautious... I like that." He said in his bright expression that he almost clapped his hands from the joy he was feeling, while Zenesha couldn't help but furrow her brows for being clueless about why Prime had become like this.
"Have you gone mad?" Zenesha commented that even knowing that the man in front of her was dangerous, she was not afraid to tell him what was on her mind.
Prime's eyes glinted, and his lips maintained an almost menacing yet attractive grin on them. He nodded as if approving of her rather than agreeing to his question.
"Brave, and know to tell her thoughts." Prime nodded as if the one evaluating him was not before him.
Zenesha's brows twitched, and her temper flared up again.
"What the fuck is going on? Just so you know, I'm not comfortable with someone evaluating my personality in front of me." She let him know, but it was actually a threatening remark.
Now that she was the one controlling this body, the killing intent that had long been honed in her soul could freely be revealed, and it wasn't faint in the slightest but thick enough for Prime's interest to grow stronger.
Prime observed her with golden pupils that were filled with obvious interest that he didn't bother to even hide. Zenesha was once again comfortable because of this; it made her feel as though the other didn't think of her as a human but as some interesting species he had just discovered.
Fortunately, Prime's intense gaze only lasted for a few moments, and he playfully shrugged but still didn't take her eyes off her.
"Tell me, what is going on? And who are you?" With a pile of confusion and even this uncomfortable gaze from the other, Zenesha still couldn't help but ask continuously, "And... why are you helping me?" The last question was a bit lower than the first few, as she wasn't confident about this one.
Zenesha knew this man wasn't really helping her. However, she also didn't know what to call it.
Prime remained silent for a few seconds, staring at her, with a grin and bright golden eyes. She even thought that he wouldn't answer, but he spoke afterward.
"For what is going on, I also don't know." Prime started as Zenesha's face changed and she was almost getting furious, but he continued with his carefree tone and wasn't even bothering with her reactions as though they weren't important to him. Perhaps, it really wasn't.
He only smiled before continuing, "I really don't know. After I woke up from my sleep, I suddenly felt a change in this world, and my intuition told me that it's something really interesting and..." His eyes glinted with an inexplicable light, "it might be the one I'm waiting for," he said the last words with a vague and uncertain tone.
Zenesha listened attentively to everything the other was saying, and yet the question marks in her head just continued to accumulate with his every word, to the point that she almost thought the stupid Zenesha was already influencing her IQ as she seemed to have difficulty comprehending them.
Sleep? World changes? Interesting? The one he was waiting for? They were easy to understand but still difficult for some reason. Znesha furrowed her brows and seriously processed them, finally understanding them.
"The one you are waiting for? What does that mean?" Zenesha asked, perplexed. How could she be the one this man was waiting for? She was clearly in this world being punished!
Prime's smile was meaningful and yet incomprehensible at the same time. He leaned comfortably in his seat, still crossing his legs, and shrugged.
"Who knows, it might be or might not be," he answered casually again, and as a result, Znesha had the impression that what he was waiting for wasn't important to him.
"You said you were sleeping? And only woke up from the changes of this world?" Zenesha brought up this matter; it seemed important, and she might even have an idea who was Prime.
Seeing him nod, Zenesha asked another question.
"You're only sleeping? What race are you then?" When Zenesha asked this, she only thought of it in passing and wasn't hoping for an answer. It was because Prime had a mysterious origin, especially for his ability to suppress the 'chains of fate' that were imprisoning her in this body.
"Yes, I only sleep for long periods of time. As for my race... I'm a dragon, a Time Dragon."
Zenesha nodded with this answer, and only after a few seconds did her eyes widen again in surprise. Dragon? Really?
Yeah! I love Dragons lately for some reason hahaha. Like, what if I make my ML a dragon? But color or metal dragons are kinda common so what if a Time Dragon or... ahem yah lol
