บท 170: Assasination attempt

The surgery was taking long, too long. Cao Fang was pacing back and forth anxiously. Her brows were furrowed tightly and her heart was beating madly. 

The person being operated on was known to many as the president but to her, it was her husband and the father of her children. She really hoped nothing would happen. 

Major General Jiang Jun was sitting nearby with his back as straight as a ruler. He stood up and walked towards Cao Fang, "He is going to be alright."

Cao Fang cried but words refused to leave her mouth. Jiang Jun said no more. He walked back to his seat in contemplation. 

To say that the gunfight was unplanned was an understatement. The event the president was attending was very private and no one but the core military men knew about it. 

The shooters had come out of nowhere and in a quick manner, they shot twice at the president before escaping.
