บท 229: You Want To Fight?

Samiel acted on instinct, diving forward and catching the egg before it could hit the ground. The moment his hands touched the smooth, cold surface of the egg, a wave of emotions crashed over him. Relief, joy, and a fierce protectiveness surged through him, momentarily pushing aside the anger and rage. He clutched the egg tightly to his chest, its surface warm and alive beneath his fingers.

But there was no time to savor the moment. Samiel spun on his heel, intent on fleeing. However, before he could take more than a few steps, the demon's sinister laugh echoed behind him.

"Keke… You think you can just run away?"

The demon's voice was mocking, almost amused. Its severed hand was already regenerating, tendrils of darkness weaving together to form a new limb. Within moments, the hand was whole again, and the demon flexed its fingers, testing the newly formed appendage.
