When Jace returned with a glass of water, he handed it to Itzy, who took a sip gratefully. She still felt a bit embarrassed about her sudden hiccup, but she decided to change the subject. "Jace, why do you think we're here? I mean, aside from my dad's decision, do you think there's another reason?"

Jace took a seat beside her once more, his eyes thoughtful. "I can't say for sure, Itzy. Your dad's primary concern is your safety, and it's understandable. But it's possible there's more to it. Maybe he wants us to spend some quality time together."

Itzy nodded, taking another sip of water. "Well, whatever the reason, I'm glad we're here. It's nice to get away from all the chaos and just enjoy a peaceful moment by the ocean."

Jace agreed, his eyes reflecting the moonlight once more. "I feel the same way, Itzy."
