บท 5: Sect Mission

Normally, even with Li Chen's talent, reaching the Qi Condensation Stage Level 4 would require at least one year, 3 years at most. But after nearly 10 days Fang Min reached the Qi Condensation Stage Level 4. Of course, Lin Xiaowen helped him too. The Qi Gathering Spell he gave was modified by himself. If Fang Min reached Foundation Establishment with this spell, then taking over his body would be much easier. Every time Fang Min absorbs Qi from the surroundings, An extremely tiny piece of Li Xiaowen's will would fuse with Fang Min's mind.

Fang Min's eyes snapped open, and his blue aura expanded to fill the entire Purple Division Building. The other disciples were shocked and could feel the powerful energy emanating.

"This?!" After detecting a foreign aura, Hua Mei was quickly alerted. He quickly appeared before room 19's door and took a step inside.

Hua Mei was taken aback by what he saw. He saw two young men sitting on their beds, seemingly undisturbed. He quickly spread his divine sense and checked their cultivation levels.

"This can't be right," he thought to himself.

Hua Mei was puzzled. He checked again and saw that Fang Min was still at mortal stage while Li Chen was at Qi Condensation level 1. Confused, he wondered how he had sensed a stage 4 aura. He considered the possibility of Li Chen attracting divine tribulation when he reached the first level, but it seemed unlikely. Meanwhile, Lin Xiaowen was silently concealing Fang Min's true cultivation level, keeping his stage 4 aura hidden.

After a moment of shock, Hua Mei quickly calmed down. He began to think.

"Should I report this matter or not...? Forget it, let's see how well this Li Chen is going to do." After briefly checking their cultivations a bit more, Hua Mei left. At this moment, deep inside Fang Min, Li Xiaowen opened his eyes.

"This child cannot control his cultivation after advancing way too quickly... What Should I do?" Lin Xiaowen was hesitating.

"I am guessing that with this speed, he will reach the Nascent Soul stage within 70 years. However, he will have peak Core Formation Battle Strength... Should I just forcefully take over?" Lin Xiaowen was not a patient man, and he didn't pity Fang Min even one bit.

"Forget it, If I take over now, his mind could collapse while integrating and I could die. If my mind dies, I doubt that even the legendary Three Life Spell that I barely obtained would save me. Once he reaches the Foundation Establishment stage, I could make him use some pills and treasures that will make his mind stronger." Lin Xiaowen changed his plan.

Right when Lin Xiaowen was thinking, Li Chen suddenly opened his eyes.

"Fang Min, I finally reached the first level of Qi Condensation, I am now an Immortal!" The moment Li Chen woke up, one could see the joy in his eyes.

Fang Min stood up and stretched his body, feeling more powerful than ever before.

Fang Min couldn't help but chuckle at Li Chen's response. "Well, congratulations on reaching the first level of Qi Condensation, Li Chen. Your hard work has paid off."

"Thanks, Fang Min. And don't worry, I won't forget that you were the one who helped me along the way," Li Chen replied gratefully.

Fang Min nodded, feeling content. It was a good feeling to see his friend's progress. He knew that his own cultivation was far from perfect, but he had made some progress himself. And with Li Chen by his side, he knew that they could continue to improve together.

Two weeks flew by, during which Fang Min consolidated his cultivation and even ascended to the peak of his Qi Condensation stage 4. Li Chen, on the other hand, was still at stage 1. Fang Min's cultivation had begun to exude a stage 1 aura, a clear indication of his cultivation level.

"Hey, Fang Min, let's go to the sect's grand hall and pick up a mission. We need pills to cultivate faster, and to buy pills, we need spiritual stones," said Li Chen, who was growing impatient at his current cultivation level.

Fang Min agreed, realizing the importance of spiritual stones and pills for faster cultivation. The monthly allowance provided by the sect was next to nothing, and he needed to find other ways to acquire more resources. Revealing his cultivation level was a risk he was willing to take if it meant faster progress. "You're right, we need to find a way to earn more spiritual stones. Let's head to the grand hall and pick up a mission," he said to Li Chen.

During their journey, Fang Min and Li Chen moved much faster than before by utilizing Qi. Lin Xiaowen also taught Fang Min a spell that would infuse his muscles, bones, and tendons with Qi, granting him physical strength. However, mastering the spell was no easy feat, as it required two weeks of rigorous and painful practice. Fang Min would feel excruciating pain throughout his entire body every time he activated the spell. It was evident that, as a former demonic overlord, Lin Xiaowen was familiar with such cruel spells.

Li Chen could also use the leather boots he got from the Treasure Hall. His speed was even faster than Fang Min. But if Fang Min used his stage 4 Qi, he would be dozens of times faster than Li Chen. But Li Chen would always travel at the same speed as Fang Min.

Fang Min was moving much faster than usual, thanks to his Qi-infused muscles. Li Chen noticed this and asked, "Fang Min, how are you moving so quickly without a treasure?"

"I am just using a spell to fuse my Qi with my muscles, I learned it with practice in the 2-week timespan." Fang Min replied, not wanting to reveal too much.

Li Chen nodded in understanding, but he couldn't help but feel a little envious. He had yet to learn any advanced Qi manipulation techniques like Fang Min had.

After some time, they reached the Immemorial Dragon Sect's Grand Hall.

Fang Min saw a huge palace touching the clouds, it was a shocking sight. The Immemorial Dragon Sect's Grand Hall was a magnificent sight to behold. With its towering pillars and intricate carvings, it was a testament to the power and wealth of the cultivators who called it home. Its vast space echoed with the sound of spells and sword techniques, making it a hub of training and cultivation for the Sect's disciples.

In front of the Grand Hall were hundreds of disciples and some elders. The disciples were waiting in line, and they showed their identification jades when their turn came. After waiting several hours in line, Fang Min and Li Chen entered the Grand Hall. It was rumored that the Grand Hall was not only one place but rather several same-looking places. When Fang Min entered the Grand Hall, he saw only disciples from his Purple Division. This meant that this space was created for every Division.

"Space Manipulation, Creating a space inside of the void! This was made by at least a Void Transcendence Realm Cultivator!!!" Lin Xiaowen thought that this sect was rather small, but to think that they had help from a Void Transcendence Realm Cultivator meant that this Immemorial Dragon Sect had some solid background.

The Cultivation Realm after Nascent Soul was Origin Reversal. The Origin Reversal was not a complete realm but rather a Transitional Realm. After reaching Nascent Soul, the cultivator will have to chant a very complex spell to trigger divine tribulation. After the divine tribulation arrived, the cultivator will burn their Nascent Soul in order to gain increased cultivation for a short amount of time. The Origin Reversal Realm was also called the Life and Death Trial because of the extreme situations while facing the Divine Tribulation.

Surviving this Life and Death Trap was extremely hard. This Divine Tribulation's duration was between 3 hours and 3 days. If the cultivator survives for 3 hours, he will reach the Origin Reversal Realm. However, if someone survives 4 hours, he will be stronger than the cultivator who survived for 3 hours. At least 2 fold. According to some calculations, the first 3 hours had a survival chance of 15%. After that, every hour decreased the survival rate by 5%. After the 6th hour, the rate was 0. Unless someone had a Heaven-Defying Treasure, it was impossible to surpass the 6-hour limit. But the rumors say that if someone can survive for 3 days, then that cultivator will be an invincible existence among second-step cultivators. At the Origin Reversal Realm, the cultivator changes the structures of the body and soul.

This is the most vulnerable state of a cultivator. If the cultivator becomes injured in this state, the origin reversal will have a chance of failing. Although this won't kill the cultivator, it can cause massive backlashes and cripple the cultivation of the cultivator. It can cause irreversible damage and may lead to being stuck in the Origin Reversal realm forever. It can even lead to the cultivation level dropping to Nascent Soul. However, if the cultivator safely passes the 1-year timespan, he will enter the legendary Celestial Harmony realm. Cultivators in this realm are considered Immortal Powerhouses. They can be an Elder in a Mid-sized Sect and destroy a small-mid-sized sect alone. Even a thousand Nascent Soul Cultivators can't take down a Celestial Harmony Realm Powerhouse. After cultivating at this stage for hundreds of years and passing the early, mid, late, and peak stages, One can step into the Dao Seeking Realm.

The Dao Seeking Realm was a mysterious realm. Cultivators at this stage will comprehend the order of the Star System. People at this stage fight very rarely. They will travel the Star System and comprehend the structure of the heavens.

Fang Min and Li Chen walked through the Grand Hall, marveling at the sheer size and grandeur of the place. They passed by groups of disciples training and cultivating, each one focused on their own techniques and skills.

As Fang Min and Li Chen approached the door, they could feel a palpable sense of power emanating from the room. The door itself was made of a sturdy and polished wood that seemed to glow in the soft light that emanated from within.

As they entered the room, they were greeted by the sight of a long table that was filled with scrolls, documents, and various artifacts. The room was dimly lit by several glowing orbs, which cast a soft and eerie light throughout the space.

The elders sitting at the table were all dressed in long robes of varying colors, with symbols and runes embroidered into the fabric. Elder White Cloud, a kindly-looking man with a long white beard, looked up from his work and smiled warmly at Fang Min and Li Chen.

The imposing figure that caught their attention was Elder Stonefist, a tall and muscular man with a severe expression. He looked at them with a piercing gaze, sizing them up silently as they approached.

As they approached the table, an imposing figure with a stern expression looked up from his work and spoke in a deep voice, "State your business."

Fang Min took a deep breath, steadied his nerves, and said, "We are here to take on a sect mission."

The elder studied them for a moment, his gaze piercing through their souls, assessing their resolve and determination. After a brief moment, he nodded and spoke in a grave tone, "Very well. Let me see your identification jades."

Fang Min and Li Chen presented their jades, which contained information about their levels of cultivation and sect divisions. The elder studied them carefully, then handed them back and gestured for them to approach the mission board.

Fang Min and Li Chen made their way to the mission table in the center of the Grand Hall. It was a large and ornate table, carved from a single piece of ancient wood and filled with scrolls and documents. As they approached, they saw that the table was surrounded by several other disciples who were also scanning through the missions available.

Fang Min and Li Chen began to read through the tasks listed on the scrolls, each one detailing a different mission. Some were more dangerous than others, but all required a certain level of skill and expertise. They discussed the options together, weighing the risks and benefits of each mission carefully.

After some time, they came across a mission that caught their attention. It involved investigating a strange energy anomaly in a nearby village, which could potentially have serious consequences if left unchecked. They both felt that this mission aligned with the values of the Immemorial Dragon Sect, and so they decided to take it on.

They approached the elder who was overseeing the mission table, and respectfully requested to undertake the task. The elder listened carefully to their request and reviewed their identification jades before approving their choice. He gave them further instructions, cautioning them to complete the mission with utmost care and attention to detail.

Fang Min and Li Chen felt the weight of their responsibility, but were determined to complete the mission successfully and uphold the honor of the Immemorial Dragon Sect.

"Remember, this mission is of utmost importance to the Sect. You must complete it with the utmost care and caution," he warned them.

Fang Min and Li Chen nodded solemnly, then bowed and left the room. As they walked through the Grand Hall, they could feel the weight of taking responsibility.

As they stepped out of the Grand Hall, Fang Min and Li Chen discussed their plan of action for the mission. The strange energy anomaly could mean anything, and they needed to be prepared for any possibility.

"I heard rumors that it could be a demonic energy," Li Chen said, his voice low and serious.

Fang Min nodded, "I've heard that too. We need to be cautious and alert at all times. My Green God Protection Ring can protect me from a fatal attack once, and you can dodge with your boots in case something happens." Fang Min said with a worried tone. This was his first mission and he was scared. The village was located in the southeast section of the Immemorial Dragon Sect. After resting for a day, they reached the village in 3 days.
