Charged For Treason

Garrison bent and tore the shirt off his body. Rowan winced but he bit his lip to stop another sound escaping from his lips when the physician poured hot water on his wound.

The blood gushed out at once but the physician poured more scalding water over it. The process was repeated until the flow of blood slowed down. 

Rowan's hand was red and scalding till then. The physician bent and poured the alcohol on the wound then. A maid brought many linen strips and the physician bandaged his wound. Then a liquid was served to him.

"These are leaves of papaya plant, spinach, mixed with goat's milk. It will help with you blood loss.'' The mixture was nauseated but Rowan drank it in a gulp making the physician smile.

"You should teach that to your mother too." the old woman laughed, shaking her head as if she was reminded of a memory.
