However, now that she was married to Lennox, hearing such words from her Uncle Reese almost made her burst into tears. Her Uncle Reese might be scolding her right now, but she knew he was merely expressing his concern and looking out for her best interests. 

He had always been a protective figure in her life, and she knew deep down that he only wanted to see her happy and safe. Despite the initial sting of his words, she couldn't help but feel grateful for his genuine care and support. 

"I'm more than aware of the danger it would pose to be his wife, Uncle, but won't you try to see things from my perspective? Lennox and I met at the lowest point in our lives. We found solace and understanding in each other's company, and our bond has grown stronger. I believe in his ability to protect me. My husband is not a weak man, Uncle."
