"Today, our topic is on zonal defending".

Around 12 noon, like scheduled, Coach Diego was having a time with his players as he taught them some other basics about their formation.

Again, he stood before his best friend, the white board as he wrote and explained while gesticulating wildly with his hands.

He drew an ugly sketch of a football pitch on the board, then he drew mannequins of the 11 players that obviously represented his team.

"I may have already explained this to you but zone defense is the type of defense which is the alternative to man-to-man defense".

"If you guys paid attention to the other games of the first week of the Brazilian football league, you would have noticed 3 teams using this mode of defending and it worked for them".

"This is a discipline that I also want to instill in you guys".
